[ Google Review ] Classic, fine architecture, tranquility - if you step aside to the embankment area in order to avoid hundreds of noisy (in a good way) tourists - lovely view. You can even feel the ancient vibes, or find similarities to the images, stories, atmosphere that you once noted in the italian books & films. Firenze is a must, the bridge worthy as well.

[ Google Review ] We call in there every year, staying in a local Hotel, finding the Mercato Centrale an excellent stop off, with a fantastic choice of food and drinks, albeit the wines by the bottle are a little overpriced, but the atmosphere makes up for it. Well worth a visit, with a Restaurant on the top floor and an excellent selection of Fruit, Vegetables, Meat and even more places to eat in the lower floor. Please don't miss this venue !.

[ Google Review ] The views from the top are wonderful, especially of the duomo. The climb isn't too hard, especially as it's broken up by 3-4 different levels. The stairs are pretty narrow and there's only one way up and down! Off-season it was easy to stand back and let each other pass, don't want to imagine what it's like in summer😵

[ Google Review ] It's one of the most iconic cathedrals in the world. It's got one of the most scintillating facades and that's where you will find a congregation of tourists. There a bunch of amazing cafes and pizzerias right by the front side of this marvellous cathedral.

[ Google Review ] There is so much to see here that it's definitely worth going, however €8 is quite a lot to enter a church, especially when the other major basilicas are charging the same. It would be better to just charge to see the museum, so that everyone can enjoy the church. The church is full of tombs and monuments to famous Italians, including Michelangelo and (though the tomb is empty) Dante. Look out for the markers on the walls at various points showing where the flood waters came to at various times, worst of all in 1966 when numerous works of art were damaged and destroyed.

[ Google Review ] Very unique architecturally: Moorish Revival. A nice change from the cathedrals which, beautiful as they are, start to look the same. Unfortunately the museum wasn't open when we were there and I expect it would have greatly enhanced the experience. It would be helpful if there were some kind of attractive sign or small/ inexpensive handout providing background information.

[ Google Review ] People say it's better than Florence. it's simply very different. It's definitely very beautiful and warrants a visit in itself. As a plus the hike to the top is not a nightmare as it is in Florence (but you do have to wait for roughly 20 minutes until the previous group finishes the tour). The view from the top is incredible. Unlike the Florence Duomo, in this one all the art was kept intact which makes the visit inside much more interesting.

[ Google Review ] If you are in Siena for any amount of time, you have to visit this hospital-turned-museum/archaeological site! Located on the same square as the Duomo of Siena, the museum is fantastic. It might be a little confusing to navigate - there aren't really signs pointing you where to go, and we had to ask for directions from Museum staff at a couple of points! - but it is well worth it. Exhibits run the gamut from sacred art and treasures given to the diocese by the Byzantines, to weird avant-garde art, to rows upon rows of archaeological finds from the catacombs under the foundations of the old hospital itself. You can even wind through some truly creepy caverns to an old Roman well - a bit of an experience, I can tell you. You should definitely visit, especially if you can time it during one of their late-night openings during the week - we had the whole museum to ourselves for 3 hours! A truly magical experience.

[ Google Review ] Really a very nice place. We were there with a school class and came in with a short wait. Inside it is breathtaking. However, it is easy to get lost, because it is not really well signposted. Nevertheless, a visit there is definitely worth it.

[ Google Review ] This Arch commemorates the Roman Victory over the Jews and the destruction of the Jewish temple. It is an amazing piece of history and it greets you if you enter the forum from the Colosseum. The Arc de Triomphe is modeled after this arch!

[ Google Review ] Beautiful historical place. A lot to see here and even more to learn about. It`s located in the middle of Rome, in very heart of the city. Probably one of the most visited sites in the city. Strongly recommended to check it out and obtain at least an overall knowledge about it as it`s strongly connected to the city and local people.

[ Google Review ] Had a great time here. Short walk from the Coliseum. Has a nice museum inside at no cost. The view is incredible from the upper balconies. There is a nice restaurant/bar and an elevator to the top. To got to the top costs a few euro but there is plenty to see for free.

[ Google Review ] The great column of the famous Roman Emperor, but it's to sad we couldn't see original statue of Emperor who was replaced by Pope. If we take a look on the main part of column we can see many fascinating reliefs of glorious roman legionaries and their victories! Highly recommended for visiting!

[ Google Review ] After a nice morning in the park with the kids we ended up coming out to this promenade at the end of the park. The views are spectacular over the city scape and if you then follow the road along it takes you yo the top of the Spanish Steps 😀 which is another of the must see sights of Rome and very popular with the Spanish tourists.

[ Google Review ] This place was stunning. The scenery alone makes this place a nice afternoon walk. The ruins were awe inspiring. Being in the middle of the city, you cannot hear a lot of traffic. The price to get in was also reasonable. This place, was also extremely empty, so if you are looking for a less crowded area this may be a site for you to visit.
