[ Google Review ] This landmark is the most beautiful and recognizable one in Rome, Italy. Please book you ticket and slot beforehand. very busy but well controlled by the staff. you can reach easily by taking metro. its a symbol of ancient rome. Useful audio guide. All of the basics were included. You can get the overall picture about the Colosseum and it's history. Of course, priority entry line is also big benefit. Would definitely recommend. The Colosseum is more than just an ancient amphitheater built in the 1st century—it's a symbol of Rome. Naturally, it's one of the most popular monuments in town. The place is undeniably magnificent from the outside. Standing 160 feet tall and made of brick, concrete, and limestone, the Colosseum is an awe-inspiring testament to Roman building.
[ Google Review ] If you visit the Colosseum, you must visit Palatine hill as it’s right across the way. Beautiful and well preserved Roman ruins with plenty of scenic viewpoints to take pictures of the city. You don’t need a tour guide as there are plenty of signs explaining the history behind some of the buildings.
[ Google Review ] This place was amazing! You truly need at least 4 hours to see it all. And in the summer there’s not much shade. But it’s so worth it. The history here is phenomenal. Bring a water bottle to use the free flowing fountains. You truly feel like you have stepped back in town. When you enter go left and you will walk up a hill to the most amazing overlook over the Roman Forum. It’s definitely a place I want to return too.
[ Google Review ] Julius Caesar was stabbed in the back here. Now the ruins of this historical area is a protected cat sanctuary. Needless to say, I loved this historical square. I want to go back just to eat takeaway pizza & watch the cats!
[ Google Review ] In the heart of the city of Rome, close to other great attractions like the Collessiom. You can walk and take photos and enjoy a cup of coffee or nice meal in the area.
[ Google Review ] This monument is absolutely stunning! Most of it is outdoors and it’s free to visit. Massive imperial marble stairs take you by stunning statuary and passed a touching Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier memorial. The stairs take visitors quite a way up offering magnificent views of the city with a great perspective on the coliseum. At the top is a cafe and bar with some seating that allows you to linger over the view. For a few you can go even higher and take an elevator to a panoramic view point. On the way out you’ll go indoors for a while where you can find public washrooms and some galleries.
[ Google Review ] Amazing place with beautiful architecture and museums. I recommend going at night when it's completely empty and quiet, perfect for a photo shoot. It also hides a nice panoramic view of the forum behind the main building.
[ Google Review ] When we entered (about 18.30) there was nobody but just sounds of Gregorian music. Impressive church with a lot of tombs inside. Free entrance. Fantastic also because it’s not very crowded there.
[ Google Review ] Great old castle, nice placement near the Tiber river. The view is gorgeous, especially at sunset since the Basilica of St. Peter can be seen in the background. Also, the pedestrian bridge over the river is a romantic place with people that play slow songs on the guitar. We did not enter because the castle was closed, but it was pretty crowded so I suppose you should get tickets in advance if you want to visit the inside.
[ Google Review ] Wow, there were so many people it was almost claustrophobic. It is a beautiful area and the steps and church were really cool. But be prepared to push your was through all the people as they enjoy the scenery. It is definitely worth visiting. I counted 180 steps to the top where a beautiful church awaits.
[ Google Review ] A beautiful place with classical architecture. I recommend you see it with your own eyes. You must have a reservation on weekends, but during the week there is no problem with getting in. It is worth taking a look inside because there is something to see there. Everything is in perfect condition, beautiful sculptures and paintings. The perfect place to start exploring Rome.
[ Google Review ] Absolutely loved it. Keep your belongings safe because there are a lot of sketchy people around and it's very busy. Everyone is trying to get the same photo and when taking a photo people walk in front of you. So a lot of patience is required. Plenty of places to buy a gelato to cool down and also refresh yourself with the water from the fountain. It's fantastic. Such a beautiful place. Enjoy and take in the surroundings. It's really lovely.
[ Google Review ] An amazing museum, which contains ancient roman statues, artifacts from Greek settlements in the South of Italy and a ton of frescoes from Pompeii. Frescoes are truly amazing (including the erotic ones) and give you a very different perspective on the ancient life. If you want to learn about history this museum is an absolute must see when in Naples
[ Google Review ] Not to be missed! A stunning palace full of riches in a gorgeous setting. The place drips with gold, antiques and paintings. The royal apartments are quite overwhelming. Beautiful tapestries, a gold throne, stunning decor, painted ceilings. A lovely garden with views over the bay. Some interesting modern sculpture. You can see Vesuvius from various windows. There is nowhere to sit down until you complete the tour of the apartments.
[ Google Review ] One of the most spectacular locations in Naples housing an absolute masterpiece, The Veiled Christ. The craftsmanship is truly mindblowing. The lifeless body of Jesus with an almost liquid flowing veil contains so much intricate detail that you can't comprehend how this is sculpted from marble. The other sculptures are equally impressive with one marble sculpture depicting a net over a body which looks incredible. You'll also find the anatomical machines at this location which showcases the circulatory nervous system preserved on human remains, it's fascinating. Definitely go here! Appreciate the masterpieces.
[ Google Review ] Some historical art works, some good views of the bay. I don't like that they have an arbitrarily complicated pricing system where you have to pay an additional admission fee to go up one of the towers. It's an impressive structure but there could be more comprehensive information about more of the rooms given in a more engaging way.
[ Google Review ] Nice castle located almost in the sea. There is an interesting sort of beach next to which is really shallow and perfect for kids. However, keep in mind that the entry is free but you have to book it online. I don't know what's the point of this. Although it's free to enter, they won't let you in if you haven't booked online. I was really disappointed. Also, the castle is not very close to the city centre so you probably have to use transport.
[ Google Review ] Not to miss! Most interesting castle with fantastic panoramic view to admire the beauty of Napoli from above. The castle is well preserved and the signage in English are adding a lot of interest. Just take the funicular and you’ll be there in less than 10 min. Allow at least an hour and if you get tired there’s a nice caffe in the middle with tables to sit. Recommended also with kids. Accessible for blind with braille code on the railing depicting the views.
[ Google Review ] For all the Cathedrals I've visited, this is by far one of the best. It is free entry, and so extravagant. Although I was told that you had to dress respectfully (shoulders and knees covered) this wasn't respected here? No hats to be worn in the Cathedral, and masks are optional, but it is a wonderful place to get hit with the full force of Catholicism.
[ Google Review ] Definitely worth the view if you are in Napoli. On the way to the Coast, this place offers a great view of the palace and lavish buildings surrounding the whole square. Beautiful!
[ Google Review ] Exterior is pretty bland, but surroundings are spectacular: great panoramic view of Umbrian planes. Altar and crypt underneath are definitely worth visiting
[ Google Review ] The information you get and the places you visit, has an enormous historical significance. Going through the areas that were used during world war 2 and experiencing how they lived and remembering what war can lead to. I personally enjoyed the tour. The guide was very friendly and answered all the questions. Definitely worths a try.
[ Google Review ] Absolute phenomenal restaurant. Initially thought it may be due to tourist trap as it has multiple locations but still went as it was recommended. Was completely blown away, by far the best pizza I've had in Italy with many options and amazing service. The trio of mini fried pizzas is an absolute necessity for a starter as well, could not believe just how good it was. Good for vegetarian options but not vegan.
