[ Google Review ] One of the largest airports in Europe. Beautiful stores, super market, cafes, souvenir shops. All very nice and accessible. All famous international brands are here. Airport information and train / railway info booth next door. Easy to find. Staff speaks English and sometimes also German or French. Accessible toilets. The airport has wheelchairs available (coin operated) for those who cannot walk long distances.
[ Google Review ] A smaller international airport that is easy to navigate and efficiently staffed. It features a fine selection of the amenities you would expect from an international airport. Arrivals, departures, and connecting flights are easy to manage for any traveller
[ Google Review ] We stayed Dec 7- 12, 2021 and it was perfect. The location was great, so close to everything. The staff are amazing. Recently renovated, the rooms were modern, clean and very comfortable. The beds were great and so were the duvets. We booked a twin room at the back of the hotel as we read some reviews that the front can get noisy, and didn't experience any noise issues. We had a great stay! Thank you
[ Google Review ] We had great food and service for Icelandic food given that I am a Indian. Come early to enjoy the live music from the piano which topped off the evening. Obviously we arrived slightly late but did enjoy about a half hour of live music. The piano player even did some some accompaniment with with the live singing That's some of the other guests and my wife sang. Excellent taste of food. Try the 6 course secret menu with the 6 matching wines. I would definitely go there again if I visit Iceland again which I hope to do soon.
[ Google Review ] This Sculpture is beautiful and situated in a great location. They have several benches to kick back on and enjoy the view and art. What's great about this spot is its distance from some of the more busy spots in town making it less congested. I visited in the height of the summer and was still able to enjoy while not being crowded.
[ Google Review ] The museum was interesting but maybe a little too slanted to the fish production industry.Maybe something about ships saved and salvaged by the Coast Guard? Or a tour of the Odinn would be good!
[ Google Review ] In my opinion it is very small museum! Yes there was a settlement which was taken from Reykjavik central but you find now only stones! Seeing the pictures here is good enough as if you were there. However there are some information about the Vikings, Icelandic language and genes that I found interesting!
[ Google Review ] Ordered a lobster soup and salmon grill. The lobster soup was delicious and it was also served with bread which was soft. The salmon grill was absolutely amazing! The salmon was definitely fresh and juicy! I also enjoyed the grill flavour on the salmon.
[ Google Review ] Enjoyed the ice cave and the planetarium. Very interesting stuff about volcanoes and the glaciers. Well worth the visit. We walked here from Reykjavik centre. Took about 30 minutes. Easy walk and we took in the church on the way over.
[ Google Review ] Very interesting museum, especially if you want to learn how the beautiful northern lights form. We were not able to experience them in nature, because of the clouds, but this museum gave us a taste of what it looks like and what to expect the next time we come. Also, in the beginning you are introduced to what was the mythology and believes around northern lights in different parts of the world. I really enjoyed it! Especially the Swedish one, where people believed that it’s a reflection of herrings in the sea.
[ Google Review ] A relaxing man-made spa with silica-infused waters heated via geothermal energy. An expensive yet enjoyable experience. Learn more about my travel experiences (including videos about Iceland) on our YouTube channel, Adventures With Dan & Tracie!
[ Google Review ] We visited Sandholt on our first morning in Iceland. I had the avocado toast which was amazing and very filling. I also had the hot chocolate which was the absolute best hot chocolate I ever had in my life and the dollop of fresh whipping cream made it even more decadent. I also grabbed a cinnamon bun on the way out and had it later that day and it was incredible - not too sweet and not too heavy. It was like a croissant and cinnamon roll mixed together. We ended up returning 2 more times just to get the hot chocolate and cinnamon buns and I even brought a couple back home with me. Definitely give this place a try!
[ Google Review ] Easy to navigate and was perfect place to start our first hike of the day
[ Google Review ] Yes it’s a beautiful place but watch out for bugs in the summer time invest in the face net
[ Google Review ] What can you say but wow! such a beautiful place. Marvelous scenery and just amazing. They also know how to look after visitors. Such a great country
[ Google Review ] Stopped here for ice cream and coffee. I pet the sweet dog that was on the property and it wanted to follow us. Next time, I would eat at the restaurant and spend more time exploring the area.
[ Google Review ] Nothing special here, just a mountain tip with a small waterfall as foreground.
[ Google Review ] Pretty waterfall with the special famous mountain as background. Not sure why this is so famous, it's pretty but by far not my favourite place in Iceland. Still, it's a nice place to go to and perfect for photos.
[ Google Review ] You can park close and it is an easy walk to get to the bottom of the canyon/waterfall. Definitely worth a stop if you are driving around the peninsula, and a bit different from the other waterfalls in Iceland. If you are keen, you can climb higher and even into the canyon and up the stream. We went into the canyon opening but didn’t go further as the water was too strong - we might go further inside in summer when the water flow is less.
[ Google Review ] Amazing views from the cliff. Little bit windy.
[ Google Review ] Very nice alcove with legally protected pieces of a trawler that crashed there in 1948. Steep rocky trail with uneven steps BUT it was the first beach I could get down to on my visit here. Beautiful beach with waves crashing. While filming the waves a seal popped up to say hi.
[ Google Review ] Simply Beautiful. Highly worth a visit while in the area. Gorgeous scenery with the sun setting.
[ Google Review ] Be wary the road to this spot is a bit rocky, but it’s a beautiful view! I imagine in bird season it must be quite magical (by October they were gone).
[ Google Review ] Unexpected tour stop - excellent meal. Was on a tour bus, not something I typically do, and the place where we were supposed to stop for lunch ended up closed. Our tour guide made a quick call to Sker and they had our group on 35 head on over. Fish and chips were excellent as was the cod. Fresh, tasty, beautiful presentation. Nice restaurant atmosphere. Lots of locals eating there too. Service was great and they took good care of our group and turned us in an hour. Everyone looked as though they enjoyed their meal and I heard nothing but positive comments from fellow passengers.
[ Google Review ] The real Katla collapsed. The one they take you to now is nothing like the photos. Pretty much just a tunnel maybe ten meters long.
[ Google Review ] Beautiful, go with a guide, so you can go áll the way to the ice.
[ Google Review ] One of the most beautiful places in the world! Black sand, grey sky, lush green hills. Remote, wild, unspoiled.
[ Google Review ] I love this place, truly beautiful. I can't say enough about this place. Hard to believe that so many cool places in a short distance from each other. Walking up to the top was quite a work out ( felt great ). Hard to believe this place was created over thousands of years of rushing water, truly amazing. 👍👍👍👍👍
[ Google Review ] Absolutely stunning waterfall that allows you to walk behind it. A really unforgettable experience. You'll almost definitely get wet, so bring appropriate clothes.
[ Google Review ] One of the best weekend brunch spots in Reykjavik. It would be nice if kitchen could provide eggs to order. Revisited for lunch while in a rush, and wished that we had more time to enjoy the delicious food. Will definitely return for dinner next summer.
[ Google Review ] Absolutely incredible! The best and freshest fish and chips I have ever had! The fish literally melted in your mouth. The meal came with the Soup of the day and unlimited hot drink. Today the soup was Curried cauliflower which was very flavourful! The whole experience was a taste sensation! I will be returning! To top it off, this is the oldest restaurant in Reykjavik - this I found out whilst eating. The best experience!
[ Google Review ] Is it the best hot dog in the world? Yeah, it might be. Is it the best in Iceland? Yeah, probably! Look, it's famous for a reason, it's good! If you are ever in Reykjavík you have to go here at least once. It's great! Order it with everything. Just do it, even if you don't like mayo or mustard. The sauces are so mild you'll love it anyway. Just do it! It's good!
[ Google Review ] Very beautiful place 😍
[ Google Review ] Hard to explain in few words. Great food (seafood and lamb). Veggie plate not worth the $. Lot of friendly people, party atmosphere. Good for groups. I liked it, but I didn't love it.
[ Google Review ] This was one of my favourite cafes we went to and I wish I had come earlier. The waffles was really good and so was the panini and the slice of toast. Make sure you get the Swiss mocha.
[ Google Review ] various terrain and a lot of differnt activities and content 💙

[ Google Review ] Fantastic bakery. The whole family loved everything we purchased. The chocolate croissants were flaky and filled with the right amount of dark rich chocolate. The rhubarb danish was slightly tart and like a very good rhubarb crumble atop a pastry. The cinnamon almond danish was similarly delicious. Might need to head back for a second breakfast.
[ Google Review ] Lovely place for families. I really like the skeleton of the whale - it a show you how strong this creatures
[ Google Review ] Beautiful minimalist church. So minimalist it’s a bit of a shock after visiting many ornate churches in Paris. The architecture is a representation of the tallest waterfall in Iceland. There was a free organ concert on their powerful organ. Also recommend going to the top of church tower for a 360 view of Reykjavík, bay, and mountains.
[ Google Review ] Bread bowl soup is incredible. The best bread I've ever tasted and the soup was delicious. Perfect to warm up and have a hearty meal. There are two soup options, one veggie. The food comes super quickly. Staff were really friendly.
[ Google Review ] Such a fantastic experience. Beautiful magical spot in the north. I’m beyond impressed with the staff. Extremely friendly and helpful. We felt very welcomed. The food at the lava restaurant is beautiful. The staff there are incredible too. Will definitely come back soon

[ Google Review ] I saw a lot of waterfalls, but this one is my absolute favorite ❤
[ Google Review ] You, the ice, the sky, the water ….. Just Iceland
[ Google Review ] What can you say but wow! such a beautiful place. Marvelous scenery and just amazing. They also know how to look after visitors. Such a great country
[ Google Review ] Easily the best views in Iceland and excellent exhibition at the visitor centre explaining the parliamentary/legislative history of Iceland. NB in winter a lot of the paths get VERY icy/slippy so definitely wear hiking boots with good grip and if you have crampons, put them on too!
[ Google Review ] Absolutely stunning waterfall that allows you to walk behind it. A really unforgettable experience. You'll almost definitely get wet, so bring appropriate clothes.

[ Google Review ] One of the most beautiful places in the world! Black sand, grey sky, lush green hills. Remote, wild, unspoiled.
[ Google Review ] Absolutely beautiful national park offering spectacular views and many different hiking trail options. We were able to plan out a 10 mile loop that went along the glacier, descended through the rolling hills, and crossed many natural spring creeks. The trails were well maintained and easy to navigate.
[ Google Review ] One of the most famous/popular places to visit in Iceland. The lagoon itself is pretty spectacular with the icebergs that have calved from the glacier that feeds the lagoon. You can take boat trips into the lagoon during the warmer months. I haven't tried them so I cannot really comment. Looks like fun though. The lagoon empties into the sea nearby, this is the famous Diamond Beach'. The beach is strewn with chunks of ice from the lagoon. Well worth a visit.
[ Google Review ] We did the snow mobile tour on a rainy day which isn't really shocking weather in Iceland. However we did assume that the gear which we were given would be appropriate for this kind of weather. It wasn't. We were soaking wet within three minutes on the snow mobile, drenched by icy rain. I think it's the promoter's job to communicate that waterproof clothes are necessary unless you don't want to get wet. I am sure this could have been a 5/5 stars experience if the weather would have been nice.
[ Google Review ] Great day out topped off with a trip to the secret Lagoon.
[ Google Review ] Beautiful even in the pouring rain and high winds.
[ Google Review ] Nothing special here, just a mountain tip with a small waterfall as foreground.

[ Google Review ] Having taken a different hike than the others took, I found myself alone in the lava field until the sun revealed this beautiful place
[ Google Review ] Date: 14/09/21 Superior Room. Everything was superb. From the time we checked in, friendly staff welcomed us. The room was nice & clean. We had a corner room with a small balcony. View of the sunset was amazing! Highly recommended!
[ Google Review ] Much smaller than dettifoss, only assemble by hike
[ Google Review ] Boring. I can just recommend Dadi's pizza in that location.
[ Google Review ] really nice place...
[ Google Review ] This is absolutely beautiful. When we went there, the autumn colours were showing off and the whole area looked stunning.
[ Google Review ] Stunning place, feel blessed to have seen it now that it is sadly melting away due to global warming.
