[ Google Review ] One of the largest airports in Europe. Beautiful stores, super market, cafes, souvenir shops. All very nice and accessible. All famous international brands are here. Airport information and train / railway info booth next door. Easy to find. Staff speaks English and sometimes also German or French. Accessible toilets. The airport has wheelchairs available (coin operated) for those who cannot walk long distances.

[ Google Review ] We stayed Dec 7- 12, 2021 and it was perfect. The location was great, so close to everything. The staff are amazing. Recently renovated, the rooms were modern, clean and very comfortable. The beds were great and so were the duvets. We booked a twin room at the back of the hotel as we read some reviews that the front can get noisy, and didn't experience any noise issues. We had a great stay! Thank you

[ Google Review ] We had great food and service for Icelandic food given that I am a Indian. Come early to enjoy the live music from the piano which topped off the evening. Obviously we arrived slightly late but did enjoy about a half hour of live music. The piano player even did some some accompaniment with with the live singing That's some of the other guests and my wife sang. Excellent taste of food. Try the 6 course secret menu with the 6 matching wines. I would definitely go there again if I visit Iceland again which I hope to do soon.

[ Google Review ] This Sculpture is beautiful and situated in a great location. They have several benches to kick back on and enjoy the view and art. What's great about this spot is its distance from some of the more busy spots in town making it less congested. I visited in the height of the summer and was still able to enjoy while not being crowded.

[ Google Review ] The museum was interesting but maybe a little too slanted to the fish production industry.Maybe something about ships saved and salvaged by the Coast Guard? Or a tour of the Odinn would be good!

[ Google Review ] In my opinion it is very small museum! Yes there was a settlement which was taken from Reykjavik central but you find now only stones! Seeing the pictures here is good enough as if you were there. However there are some information about the Vikings, Icelandic language and genes that I found interesting!

[ Google Review ] Ordered a lobster soup and salmon grill. The lobster soup was delicious and it was also served with bread which was soft. The salmon grill was absolutely amazing! The salmon was definitely fresh and juicy! I also enjoyed the grill flavour on the salmon.

[ Google Review ] Enjoyed the ice cave and the planetarium. Very interesting stuff about volcanoes and the glaciers. Well worth the visit. We walked here from Reykjavik centre. Took about 30 minutes. Easy walk and we took in the church on the way over.

[ Google Review ] Very interesting museum, especially if you want to learn how the beautiful northern lights form. We were not able to experience them in nature, because of the clouds, but this museum gave us a taste of what it looks like and what to expect the next time we come. Also, in the beginning you are introduced to what was the mythology and believes around northern lights in different parts of the world. I really enjoyed it! Especially the Swedish one, where people believed that it’s a reflection of herrings in the sea.

[ Google Review ] We visited Sandholt on our first morning in Iceland. I had the avocado toast which was amazing and very filling. I also had the hot chocolate which was the absolute best hot chocolate I ever had in my life and the dollop of fresh whipping cream made it even more decadent. I also grabbed a cinnamon bun on the way out and had it later that day and it was incredible - not too sweet and not too heavy. It was like a croissant and cinnamon roll mixed together. We ended up returning 2 more times just to get the hot chocolate and cinnamon buns and I even brought a couple back home with me. Definitely give this place a try!

[ Google Review ] You can park close and it is an easy walk to get to the bottom of the canyon/waterfall. Definitely worth a stop if you are driving around the peninsula, and a bit different from the other waterfalls in Iceland. If you are keen, you can climb higher and even into the canyon and up the stream. We went into the canyon opening but didn’t go further as the water was too strong - we might go further inside in summer when the water flow is less.

[ Google Review ] Unexpected tour stop - excellent meal. Was on a tour bus, not something I typically do, and the place where we were supposed to stop for lunch ended up closed. Our tour guide made a quick call to Sker and they had our group on 35 head on over. Fish and chips were excellent as was the cod. Fresh, tasty, beautiful presentation. Nice restaurant atmosphere. Lots of locals eating there too. Service was great and they took good care of our group and turned us in an hour. Everyone looked as though they enjoyed their meal and I heard nothing but positive comments from fellow passengers.

[ Google Review ] Absolutely incredible! The best and freshest fish and chips I have ever had! The fish literally melted in your mouth. The meal came with the Soup of the day and unlimited hot drink. Today the soup was Curried cauliflower which was very flavourful! The whole experience was a taste sensation! I will be returning! To top it off, this is the oldest restaurant in Reykjavik - this I found out whilst eating. The best experience!

[ Google Review ] Is it the best hot dog in the world? Yeah, it might be. Is it the best in Iceland? Yeah, probably! Look, it's famous for a reason, it's good! If you are ever in Reykjavík you have to go here at least once. It's great! Order it with everything. Just do it, even if you don't like mayo or mustard. The sauces are so mild you'll love it anyway. Just do it! It's good!

[ Google Review ] Fantastic bakery. The whole family loved everything we purchased. The chocolate croissants were flaky and filled with the right amount of dark rich chocolate. The rhubarb danish was slightly tart and like a very good rhubarb crumble atop a pastry. The cinnamon almond danish was similarly delicious. Might need to head back for a second breakfast.

[ Google Review ] Beautiful minimalist church. So minimalist it’s a bit of a shock after visiting many ornate churches in Paris. The architecture is a representation of the tallest waterfall in Iceland. There was a free organ concert on their powerful organ. Also recommend going to the top of church tower for a 360 view of Reykjavík, bay, and mountains.

[ Google Review ] One of the most famous/popular places to visit in Iceland. The lagoon itself is pretty spectacular with the icebergs that have calved from the glacier that feeds the lagoon. You can take boat trips into the lagoon during the warmer months. I haven't tried them so I cannot really comment. Looks like fun though. The lagoon empties into the sea nearby, this is the famous Diamond Beach'. The beach is strewn with chunks of ice from the lagoon. Well worth a visit.

[ Google Review ] We did the snow mobile tour on a rainy day which isn't really shocking weather in Iceland. However we did assume that the gear which we were given would be appropriate for this kind of weather. It wasn't. We were soaking wet within three minutes on the snow mobile, drenched by icy rain. I think it's the promoter's job to communicate that waterproof clothes are necessary unless you don't want to get wet. I am sure this could have been a 5/5 stars experience if the weather would have been nice.
