2 mile hike to water falls, $25 for the park fee
To get to the pools, park on the road and dip between the cow fence and the concrete wall. When we went, there was a guy selling fruit right where they meet. (Good strategy) You'll climb over a metal gate, walk across a field, then through some trees (about 3-5 minutes). A really nice spot for pictures and rock jumping. I got a ton of bites though walking through here.
We loved stopping here, I think it was one of the best stops on the road to Hana. A highlight for sure. Checking out the black sand beach was really cool, but make sure to wear footwear that can get wet, the waves will was up the whole way up on the beach. Best part was the blowhole though! Seeing the waves blasting out of the blowhole was so cool, and we got some cool photos next to the explosive water. Definitely a stop you need to make at the road to Hana.
Incredible volcano!! We drove up to the top and couldn't see anything through the clouds. But after a little waiting the clouds cleared and we could see so much beautiful nature! Hawaii is full of amazing things like this.

This was an amazing short hike along a narrow and at times slightly treacherous path. The views are amazing throughout and the red sand beach itself out of this world!
Nice secluded beach with calm sea and extraordinary views of landscape.
Love the fruit option. Safe for kids (our 4 yr old gobbled it up!) and adults alike! For someone who's not crazy about shave ice as my husband is, I'm blown away by this natural alternative! Melted in my mouth - delicate and smooth - I'm in love.
Great beer, atmosphere, and location. Everything looks new and clean. Tour is about $17 per person (split between 3 people)
Laura, our tour guide, was awesome!! She was very knowledgeable, let us stop for water, and gave us great recommendations for places to go as well. Really interesting to learn about the land, the volcanos, the islands, and the plants! The fruit at the end was very tasty, and really fun to try the different fruits. We even took home a small jar of jam - yum! Only about 1.5-2 hours so it was a fun lunch adventure. Thanks Laura!!
Beautiful hike. 2.5 miles each way. Going up mostly uphill. Beautiful views. Make sure you're back down before dark. Not easy to navigate in the dark. Give yourselves a good 4 hours allowance with views, photo shoots, picnic stops. Bring lots of water.
