[ Google Review ] Probably the coolest airport I've been to. The most private bathrooms, wheelchair friendly. So much space, and many areas to lounge in to be far away from large crowds. Not to mention the sick X-Men mural. Everyone was so nice. Can't wait to go back to Iceland just to experience this again.
[ Google Review ] The people at Lotus car rental were Extremely friendly (especially Laura) and went out of their way to explain how to get around in Iceland (such as no cash needed in Iceland and need for gas cards). They were attentive to detail, super welcoming and we got a great car perfect for our needs. I had to leave a tip to these people who really started and ended our trip on a wonderful vibe.
[ Google Review ] Amazing! The lagoon has been created in a wonderful way. They carefully thought about the whole experience, from entree to exit. The public changes rooms feel comfortable and spacious. There are a lot of shower cabins that give you privacy. The 7 step ritual was a great addition to the experience. Especially having a great view over the ocean from the large window in the sauna. A beautiful end of our road trip in Iceland.
[ Google Review ] Nice, clean room. Good location. Lovely breakfast. Wouldn't rule out staying here again despite the noise from a building site right outside our room, hopefully they will be done soon!
[ Google Review ] Had a wonderful 5 night stay at the Grandi while I used Reykjavik as a base to see West and South Iceland. The hotel is conveniently located off the main tourist hub, near the Saga and Maritime museums, with convenient free street parking or there is a free lot just a block away. The rooms, lounge, restaurant and bar are modern, upscale and chic. My room was quite large, with ample room to spread out my belongings. The bathroom was very large, too, with wonderful walk-shower. My room overlooked some construction going on next door, but I was not in my room much to have this bother me. Staff at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful, available 24/7. Breakfast was fantastic, a combination of continental and English Breakfast. All in all, a great stay, in a nice, safe neighbourhood, and would definitely consider staying here again when I come back to Reykjavik
[ Google Review ] I would love to visit one day
[ Google Review ] Really beautiful wildlife with loads of birds and seals. Please respect wild life and hold 100m distance, like the sign says. Don't be like the tourists on my photo who disturb these seals for a great picture at only 7 metres distance.
[ Google Review ] Curious that so many Icelandic churches seem to be in the middle of nowhere. Nice mountain backdrop. Beautiful setting.
[ Google Review ] waterfalls
[ Google Review ] Nothing special here, just a mountain tip with a small waterfall as foreground.
[ Google Review ] You cannot have a better location for the area. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Kitchen is great and rooms lovely. Small tip...ask for room 12.

3h 32m plus 3 hours for ferry.
[ Google Review ] I might give this a higher rating if I had been there longer to enjoy the hot pools. A full size lane pool is a unique feature and in this area of Iceland, you have long drives between anything and this was one of few options for us to stop. Tucked away in lower lands in West Fjords, this place overlooks a large creek across the road, many birds to observe and along with the pools, has historical structures maintained on the propery for the appreciation of tourists. Breakfast buffet was minimal, and not refilled but sufficient before hitting the road. We chose not to shower as the shower and bathroom as a whole were dirty.
[ Google Review ] Little gem with a warm (geothermal) pool, a small natural hot pot, lovely staff and neat and clean rooms and facilities. We had the aukaherbergi (additional) room that was quite small but we had everything we needed. Very good dinner.
[ Google Review ] For the right location, search "Hvitserkur parking".

[ Google Review ] This was an amazing experience! I was worried it would be a little kitschy, but this was one of the top spa experiences we had in Iceland. The place is so beautiful, very clean facilities, and modern design. The location has sweeping views of the fjord. It was really stunning on a sunny day. The food in the restaurant was fantastic, and the beer was really good. The spa starts with a check in and then a quick shower and change in their changing rooms. They then guided us to our beer baths, in private rooms with beer on tap. The bath was fun and unique. The bath is wooden filled with young beer. Next to the beer bath there is a beer tap to enjoy as you relax. The sauna is small but pleasant experience and there are two hot baths outside for soaking and enjoying the views and nature (with beer service). The facilities, the views, the beer, and the food all made for one of the more fun and entertaining days we had in Iceland. I whole heartedly recommend this for anyone looking for a unique fun experience.
[ Google Review ] Great hosts. Far from the city. Very comfy and cozy place

[ Google Review ] An absolutely beautiful waterfall, and right off the main road as well. We stayed here for an hour or so taking in the natural beauty around us. Additionally, I loved the story about how this waterfall got its name. It's on the sign, and if you have a minute I'd give it a read cause it's a powerful testimony.
[ Google Review ] So glad we visited this museum on our main day in Húsavík, really informative and covers so much and absolutely worth the visit if you're passing through this amazing little town.
[ Google Review ] The water is hot sea water. Many of the hot springs in Iceland smell because of the sulphur. But Geosea doesn't stink because it's sea water. Beautiful views overlooking the ocean. The locker room and shower area were clean. They give you a bracelet with a chip inside to open and lock a locker. It is also used to buy drinks. Then scanned before you leave to pay for the drinks. There was 1 private changing area but the shower area is completely open. Showering without your swimsuit is mandatory. After showering you put your swimsuit on and then go out to the pool. There are separate locker room for men and women.
[ Google Review ] It is a good Hotel, nice staff and beautiful view. The breakfast was very good, has everything we wanted and more. The rooms are clean. the coffee in the room was terrible.
[ Google Review ] Pretty nice hotel. Room was decent size and fairly standard. Decent happy hour drinks. Rooms were way too hot however we had to rush out to dinner because we couldn't remain in there for long. I think we were placed in the budget room as the door opened right out into the reception area and there was a seating area right at our room door. There were people drinking there until about midnight or so..
[ Google Review ] You need be aware of min hiking time of 2 hours there
[ Google Review ] Love this place Beautiful cliffs among other things in the nature
[ Google Review ] To see the waterfall you must walk for maybe 20 minutes to view it. Various viewing platforms.

[ Google Review ] very smelly.. but very special. you can get up close and see the boiling mud
[ Google Review ] Big parking place and the touristic centre. Restrooms available, information tables available. You can get from here also to Hverfjall.
[ Google Review ] Clean simple rooms, breakfast was nice standard fare, and they even had real maple syrup for the pancakes. The owner was so nice - it was about 15 minutes after breakfast was officially over (10a) and she asked the kids if they wanted more pancakes. Definitely caring, kind hosts.

[ Google Review ] Boring. I can just recommend Dadi's pizza in that location.
[ Google Review ] We could only reach the viewing point on the west side, as the road was slippery and full of snow, and the paths were closed. However it was definitely worth it. The canyon is amazing, the colors, the basalt columns...

[ Google Review ] Located directly near the ferry port. Had a room with a view to the Strandartindur. A good starting point for hikes to the mountains.

[ Google Review ] Amazing road… in my opinion the most beautiful and exciting road to drive on in Iceland. At this time of the year it felt like heaven with all the snow and clouds surrounding you on the top. We went with a two-wheel-drive and it was muddy and a bit slippery, but doable. You do need to be confident behind the wheel though.
[ Google Review ] Really cool waterfall! I wish we had been able to get closer but due to high water levels part of the path was blocked. It was SUPER windy when we got to the top so be mindful. The trail can get fairly steep, the longest steep stretch is at the beginning so if you can navigate that you should be okay. Without the last part of the trail, it only took us about an hour total. WC/ bathroom at base of trail.
[ Google Review ] The only tourist trap I found in Iceland, day was very cloudy I couldn’t see anything, also roads were terrible,!!!!! Don’t go there !!!
[ Google Review ] Cake was good! If you’re looking for quick snack then its a good place for stopping. However the lady was not so friendly and I think this is one thing to be improved especially if you in the tourism industry.

[ Google Review ] This place is something special with turquoise blue water dotted with icebergs. Look carefully for seals swimming around too. It looks like some companies offer kayak and boat tours, though I’d be a bit weary because of how much wind there can be.
[ Google Review ] One of the iconic places, great to see. There is a nice, well equipped csmping next to this hike. The hike alone is about 40 minutes one way. The waterfall is beautiful. There is one more waterfall along the way. Hike was very easy.
[ Google Review ] We didn't stay here but they didn't even allow a lady to use the washroom even if we offered to buy something from the restaurant. I guess the hospitality wouldn't be that great as well if there is no courtesy.

[ Google Review ] This place is a real gem!!! My favorite spot from the entire trip. We went there end of May, everything was so green and beautiful. Trip to the top is the must to get the best views of the waterfall! To get to the site you will have to drive about 30 minutes off road, on like a gravel road. Parking is free, restrooms available.
[ Google Review ] There are a few designated pulloffs where you can walk around on established trails and see the moss up close. PLEASE don't stomp on the moss off-trail, it took them 200 years to grow!
[ Google Review ] Stunningly beautiful glacier. Didn't go on it but hiked next to it. Great views.
[ Google Review ] Tried to visit a couple of times but the visitor centre was closed and wasn't obvious how to access the hike. Probably my fault though. I can see from other pictures it's a nice place. Its a nice area anyway though, plenty of surrounding sheep.
[ Google Review ] This place is actually closed and there is very little to see except for at 11 and 3 o'clock when there is a guided tour. So the price for admission that is stated on the website is not really for admission but just the price for the guided tour. You can take a peak inside the church built in 1875, that building is most likely open between 10-17, other buildings are closed except for the guided tour times. The nature and surrounding area is beautiful, especially if you're here on a good day. Not worth the drive unless you arrive for the guided tour or have booked a tour in advance.
[ Google Review ] Dyrhólaey Door Hill offers an amazing 120 meter high view over the black beach to the northeast. The cliffs here are pretty scary. The waves have drilled a gate in the black lava rock which is big enough for small boats to drive through.
[ Google Review ] Worth the very short detour to visit and photograph.
[ Google Review ] Absolutely wonderful! We were very lucky with the weather, and we got to experience the waterfall with an amazing blue sky and a magnificent rainbow. It's idyllic!!! It's like a piece of Heaven on Earth, it's really magical. You need your crampons to walk safely if it's icy, and there's a bistro nearby where you can have lunch and warm yourself. It's a must, when in Iceland, don't miss it!
[ Google Review ] Crowded, but very pretty! Toilets available at the parking.
[ Google Review ] Really nice lodges!

[ Google Review ] White and Grey will soon be here
[ Google Review ] Really nice modern (but small) Museum about the Volcano which erupted 1973. There is a nice exebition with a lot Pictures and original videos. Also you can see a original house destroyed and covered in dust. You really getting a feeling what was happening here. If you visit the Island that is a must see to understand the islands history.
[ Google Review ] Lovely, peaceful cabin just off the route 1. The location is beautiful with a view of the endless fields and horses. The cabin was warm and cozy and the kitchen was well equipped. The hosts are very welcoming and took the time to greet us and explain everything when we arrived. A very comfortable stay- highly recommended!

[ Google Review ] Breathtaking. Visit and spend time to feel the vibe is a must. Just soak in the view and stay for sunset is strongly recommended.
[ Google Review ] Cool place but winter isn't the time to visit as the colors are masked by snow. It was a nice stop to break up our day so I would certainly recommend it if you are in the area.
[ Google Review ] It gets very busy here but there’s a lot to see. Worth the stop.
[ Google Review ] Pretty busy and touristy, but an incredible sight that is worth it.
[ Google Review ] Really a beautiful place to visit and have a small walk. The landscape is amazing and very interesting to look at, so if you’re close to the national park you should stop and pay a visit. There’s also a beautiful look out spot in the park, where there’s a small parking lot so you can get out and enjoy the view of the lake
[ Google Review ] Super knowledgeable guide! Small group size allowed for plenty of time to take photos & ask questions.
[ Google Review ] Travelled to Iceland for the first time to celebrate our birthdays. Saw this restaurant and decided to try it for the experience and atmosphere. Booked our reservation about a week in advance so we had everything planned out. I was a bit apprehensive about the menu options as they looked out of my comfort zone. We ended up ordering the Viking tasting platter as an appetizer, the beef cheeks and lamb for the main courses, followed by the chocolate cake for dessert. Drinking beer from a horn to round out the whole experience. Everything tasted excellent! Service was exceptional. Price was exactly what I would expect for this type of food and atmosphere. Loved it!
[ Google Review ] Lovliest place I went to in all of Iceland, stayed with my university natural history group, thank you for your hospitality.

[ Google Review ] Might possibly be the best thing I've done during my trip to Iceland! Be careful of hard ice, if you see some walk around it or above it. The walk up was an hour and a bit quicker on the way back. We started hiking at 6pm (March) and arrived at 7pm, with the sunset planned at 7:36. We decided to go then to be completely alone and we were! On our way up we did see 4-5 couple/group going back to the cafe. Definitely bring a towel if you want to get in the water... and believe me you will want to!! I had already my swimsuit underneath to go quickly in the water. When getting out you actually dry pretty quickly and then do take off the swimsuit to avoid being wet. We went the highest we could to really be in hot water, and it was super nice. With the steam you don't really get cold anyway :) We went back down a bit during the sunset and used our phone flashlight at the end and it was doable :)
[ Google Review ] Lovely area for walking. Lots to see.
[ Google Review ] Steep climb, nice view, no lava but nice to see
[ Google Review ] Staying near the airport? Our favorite choice! Lighthouse Inn has this great, remote, Icelandic atmosphere and all this just a 15-minute drive from the airport. You will get a beautiful room with a private bathroom for a really affordable price. The best about the stay was the location, however. The hotel is situated right next to the ocean and to the picturesque lighthouse. It’s also located far enough from the nearby cities, making it a great spot to observe northern lights at! There’s a 24/7 reception (which is not often the case in Iceland!) with a nice and helpful staff. Parking is easy to reach even in winter and right next to the entrance. The breakfast buffet runs from around 7:15 already, which is also pretty convenient if you have an early flight. Oh yes, and the breakfast was great, with lots of meal variety (which is also not always the case in Iceland!). Would definitely come back again, and for longer, not just one night.
