[ Google Review ] This is a fascinating yet macabre tourist ‘attraction’; not to be missed, so book in advance online. The personal headsets tell the history of the original limestone miners, extracting the materials from which much of Paris is built. Hundreds of years later in 1786, due to the cemeteries within the city overflowing and becoming insanitary, the decision was made to empty them and inter the remains of six million people in these former mine tunnels 20m beneath the city. The route in and out of these tunnels is via modern-day spiral stairwells that require a reasonable level of fitness to climb. An experience you won’t forget!
[ Google Review ] We went on the evening dinner cruise in April 2022 - an incredible experience! The staff were respectful and attentive, the service was very efficient and smooth. The food was very good (especially the dessert courses), but in all honesty we were there for the views... seeing Paris from river level as the sun sets and dusk settles over the city was magical, awesome, absolutely amazing and an experience which will certainly remain with us. There is an upper deck for 360 degree viewing, and we were fortunate enough to have the best table (in the forward bow) while dinner was served. Highly, highly recommended!!
[ Google Review ] Absolutely in love with this place. It is huge so I would recommend spending a day or two if you really wanna go through everything. wasn’t too crowded overall except around the Mona Lisa where it was a stampede. There is something for everyone here, it ranges in different time periods and art forms. It surpasses anything we have in Canada in terms of an art museum. They have cute gift shops all around which is convenient. I came from Canada to visit and got the membership which I would recommend considering it was almost the same price as single admission and the line was shorter.p
[ Google Review ] Hands down the most dramatic and impressive art museum I have ever been to. In my opinion, better than Louvre. It has some of the largest and most gorgeous paintings I have ever seen. Sculptures everywhere. Recognizable art even for a novice. Impressionist collection is breathtaking. A unique experience!! Museum is built in a former train station so there are gorgeous super high vaulted ceilings. Priceless collection. A must-see when in Paris. The upstairs restaurant is both darling and an artwork itself. Fabulous meal, setting, and views. Expensive but not overpriced.
[ Google Review ] Historic cemetery in Paris with many famous graves including Jim Morrison, Oscar Wilde, Chopin, Marcel Proust. A very welcome green space with many birds. Many grand family crypts dating back to the 1700s. You could spend hours here but if you are more focussed in your visit them about an hour is probably enough. Free public toilets available near the gates in the middle part of the cemetery.
